What students — and the professors who notice — are saying

From first-year students to the clinicians teaching them.

I noticed one of the students on my rotation referring to a little leather notebook and coming up with very accurate answers to my questions LOL — so I expressed curiosity finally yesterday and recognised your handiwork immediately!

The story

It started as one student's survival kit.

Baby Vet Yino began as Dr. Isabel Xie's third-year project — a way to get through her own clinical rotations without drowning in textbooks. Her classmates at the Atlantic Veterinary College wanted copies almost immediately, and it has since made its way into rotations at AVMA-accredited vet schools well beyond AVC.

"I made these in vet school because I was tired of digging through textbooks between cases. I wanted something small enough for my scrub pocket and organized enough that I'd actually trust it on the floor."

Dr. Isabel Xie, ER veterinarian & founder · your vet student friend 🐾

An ER vet whose path ran from Beijing to clinics across North America, Isabel refines the handbook every year — five editions so far — with every reference carefully sourced and checked alongside the professors and clinical mentors who guided the project.
